51 College-Bound Graduates Receive More Than $100,000 in Grants

One Hundred Black Men, Inc. of New York (OHBM) awarded $100,000 in college scholarships to 51 talented graduating students from a dozen New York City public high schools at a ceremony earlier this summer at the  Metropolitan Museum of Art.

“As founders of The Eagle Academy for Young Men eleven years ago, The One Hundred Black Men of New York today continues its work to mentor and empower young men and women not only with scholarships, but also by operating education and community programs that transform lives. These initiatives include our Robotics Summer Camps, Entrepreneurship Workshops, Economic Empowerment Summits and ‘Learn To Swim’ Initiatives,” said OHBM President Michael J. Garner.
