For over 50 years, the esteemed members of One Hundred Black Men have leveraged their collective talent and resources to drive economic and social change in New York. While many members maintain public profiles as corporate, political, and community leaders, others prefer anonymity as benefactors and volunteers.
The members of One Hundred Black Men work in over a dozen industries as executives, directors, and managers. The motto, “Globally conscious, but locally relevant,” reflects the experience of many members who maintain multi-national interests, while supporting grassroots efforts to improve low-income communities in New York. With the exception of Founding and Lifetime Members, all Members of One Hundred Black Men are expected to serve as mentors in some capacity.
